The new phosphidosilicates Li2SiP2 and LiSi2P3 were synthesized by heating the elements at 1123 K and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Li2SiP2 (I41/acd, Z=32, a=12.111(1) Å, c=18.658(2) Å) contains two interpenetrating diamond‐like tetrahedral networks consisting of corner‐sharing T2 supertetrahedra [(SiP4/2)4]. Sphalerite‐like interpenetrating networks of uniquely bridged T4 and T5 supertetrahedra make up the complex structure of LiSi2P3 (I41/a, Z=100, a=18.4757(3) Å, c=35.0982(6) Å). The lithium ions are located in the open spaces between the supertetrahedra and coordinated by four to six phosphorus atoms. Temperature‐dependent 7Li solid‐state MAS NMR spectroscopic data indicate high mobility of the Li+ ions with low activation energies of 0.10 eV in Li2SiP2 and 0.07 eV in LiSi2P3. 相似文献

A graft copolymerization was performed using free radical initiating process to prepare the poly(methyl acrylate) grafted copolymer from the tapioca cellulose. The desired material is poly(hydroxamic acid) ligand, which is synthesized from poly(methyl acrylate) grafted cellulose using hydroximation reaction. The tapioca cellulose, grafted cellulose and poly(hydroxamic acid) ligand were characterized by Infrared Spectroscopy and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope. The adsorption capacity with copper was found to be good, 210 mg g?1 with a faster adsorption rate (t1/2 = 10.5 min). The adsorption capacities for other heavy metal ions were also found to be strong such as Fe3+, Cr3+, Co3+ and Ni2+ were 191, 182, 202 and 173 mg g?1, respectively at pH 6. To predict the adsorption behavior, the heavy metal ions sorption onto ligand were well-fitted with the Langmuir isotherm model (R2 > 0.99), which suggest that the cellulose-based adsorbent i.e., poly(hydroxamic acid) ligand surface is homogenous and monolayer. The reusability was checked by the sorption/desorption process for six cycles and the sorption and extraction efficiency in each cycle was determined. This new adsorbent can be reused in many cycles without any significant loss in its original removal performances. 相似文献

Fabrication and characterization of CMC‐based magnetic superabsorbent hydrogel nanocomposites for crystal violet removal 下载免费PDF全文
In this research work, novel magnetic superabsorbent hydrogel nanocomposites (MSHNs) based on carboxymethyl cellulose were prepared via a facile “one‐pot” two step approach. Magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles were in situ synthesized and incorporated into carboxymethyl cellulose/poly(acrylic acid) polymer hydrogel. The morphology and chemical composition of MSHNs as well as the presence of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles were evaluated by using Fourier transform infrared, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X‐Ray diffraction, ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and vibrating sample magnetometer. The effect of different reaction parameters on the swelling capacity of MSHNs was investigated. Furthermore, batch adsorption experiments of crystal violet dye onto MSHNs were studied by varying solution pH, initial dye concentration, and temperature. Evaluation of thermodynamic parameters of crystal violet adsorption confirmed that the adsorption was spontaneous and endothermic process in nature. The equilibrium study revealed that the dye adsorption behavior of MHSNs followed the Redlich‐Peterson isotherm model. Finally, the dye adsorption experiment data was well fitted by the pseudo‐second‐order kinetic model with the regression coefficient (R2) of 0.9979. Our results suggest that the MHSNs with facile preparation method, high swelling capacity, and high dye adsorption capacity may be used as promising adsorbents for fast removal of various dyes from aqueous solutions. Assessing the Role of Capping Molecules in Controlling Aggregative Growth of Gold Nanoparticles in Heated Solution 下载免费PDF全文
This report describes findings of an investigation of the role of capping molecules in the size growth in the aggregative growth of pre‐formed small‐sized gold nanoparticles capped with alkanethiolate monolayers toward monodispersed larger sizes. The size controllability depends on the thiolate chain length and concentration in the thermal solution. The size evolution in solution at different concentrations of alkanethiols is analyzed in relation to adsorption isotherms and cohesive energy. The size dependence on thiolate chain length is also analyzed by considering the cohesive energy of the capping molecules, revealing the importance of cohesive energy in the capping structure. Theoretical and experimental comparisons of the surface plasmonic resonance optical properties have also provided new insights into the mechanism, thus enabling the exploitation of size‐dependent nanoscale properties. 相似文献

应用密度泛函理论,本文系统地研究了O在Au(111)表面上的吸附能、吸附结构、功函数、电子密度和投影态密度,给出了覆盖度从0.11ML到1.0ML的范围内,O的吸附特性随覆盖度变化的规律.研究发现O的稳定吸附位为3重面心立方(fcc)洞位,O在fcc洞位的吸附能对覆盖度比较敏感,其值随着覆盖度的增加而减小;O诱导Au(111)表面功函数的变化量与覆盖度成近线性关系,原因是Au表面电子向O偏移,形成表面偶极子;O—Au的相互作用形成成键态和反键态,且反键态都被占据,造成O—Au键很弱,O吸附能较小.

We investigated site specific reactivity of the α-Cu-Al(17 at.%)(1 0 0) alloy surface versus that of Al and Cu by measuring neutralisation of Li+ ions. Experiments show that Li+ neutralisation on the α-CuAl(1 0 0) alloy surface does not occur efficiently on Al and is somewhat more efficient on Cu as compared to a pure Cu sample, indicating depletion of electron density on Al and transfer to neighboring Cu. It can thus be concluded that Cu sites in presence of Al are more reactive in the sense that processes involving electron capture from the surface would proceed more efficiently on these. 相似文献

The viscosities of aqueous solutions of gelatin at different temperatures were carefully measured in a common glass‐capillary Ubbelohde viscometer at dilute to extremely dilute concentrations. The adsorption effect that occurred in the viscosity measurements was theoretically analyzed and discussed. A theory based on Langmuir isotherms could adequately describe the existing data. Some structural information was obtained by the use of an iterative fitting procedure to treat the reduced viscosity data, which disclosed that individual gelatin chains underwent a coil‐to‐helix transition as the solution cooled from 40 to 15 °C. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
